Resolve

Everything was hushed as we walked into the snowy wilderness of our backyard to shoot the engagement shoot of a new decade.

While everyone else was beginning 2020 with resolutions to go to the gym more regularly and cut sugar out of their diets, my little brother Richard and his now fiancé, Clare, resolved to spend forever together. We couldn’t be more thrilled for them and their future ahead.

A few days after the announcement, we received a beautiful snowy afternoon- practically unheard of in Virginia’s western valleys! So we grabbed the opportunity to snag some photos. Icicles twinkled, snow covered boughs hung low, and we felt like we had stepped through a portal into some faraway, magical forest. I guess you could say, it was fate.
